With all of the talk about an Apple iWatch in the news, perhaps it is fitting that the Sony SmartWatch app has received an update. The update brings seven new watch faces, improved battery level information, and an easier way to install SmartConnect and SmartWatch apps on non-Sony watches. If you own an Android powered Sony SmartWatch, you need to install the Sony SmartWatch app on your smartphone first to enable/disable apps and change settings for the vibrating alert. You also can use the app to select an interface and find apps developed for the watch.The Sony SmartWatch allows you to check your notifications, email and phone calls in situations where pulling out your smartphone would be inappropriate. You can even install fitness and health apps on the watch to monitor your workouts or even your everyday routine. And as long as your phone is within 10 meters of your watch, you can keep track of everything that happens on your phone and even check your social networks.
